Micro, radio, and infrared waves all feature shorter frequencies and longer wavelengths than visible light. Visible light is the ROYGBIV spectrum; red has a wavelength of 700nm and violet is 400nm. Then there is ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma radiation, all of which feature higher frequency and shorter wavelengths than visible light. These are all used as forms of ionizing radiation.
