A 1000 kg cannon fires a 10 kg cannonball. The cannon ball accelerates at 30m/s^2 [west]. Assume that the only horizontal forces are the force of the cannon on the cannon ball and the force of the cannon ball on the cannon.

a) what is the net force acting on the cannon ball?

b) what is the net force acting on the cannon?

c) what is the acceleration of the cannon?

I'm not going to answer it for you, as it is your homework, most likely. Just remember to draw free-body diagrams for each, then it is easy. Also, F=ma. Also, are you sure it's the "acceleration of the cannon" and not of the cannon ball?
