11036 / 1000 = 11.comment: in practice the power OUTPUT of motors is usually given in units of horsepower; its the power INPUT thats given in KW or KVA {kilovolt-amperes}.......
What is the power output of an electric motor that lifts an elevator with a mass of 1500 kg at a speed of 0.750 m/s.

(1500)(9.81) = 14715 N

(14715)(0.75) = 11036.25 W

11036 / 1000 = 11.0 kW

Looks OK :>)
