I need help with astronomy...

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-09] [Hit: ]
-This is really very much a physics question. The MKS units for acceleration are m/s^2.Acceleration for a normal car would be around 3 m/s^2, a sports car would be a litter higher, roughly 4-6 m/s^2, a roller coaster can get up to 30-50 m/s^2.......
What units to we use to express acceleration?
What are typical accelerations for a normal car, a sports car, a roller coaster?
What is the acceleration due to gravity for objects in freefall near the surface of the Earth?

The acceleration due to gravity for objects near the surface of Earth is 9.81 m/s^2.
