What units to we use to express acceleration?
What are typical accelerations for a normal car, a sports car, a roller coaster?
What is the acceleration due to gravity for objects in freefall near the surface of the Earth?

This is really very much a physics question. The MKS units for acceleration are m/s^2. Acceleration for a normal car would be around 3 m/s^2, a sports car would be a litter higher, roughly 4-6 m/s^2, a roller coaster can get up to 30-50 m/s^2. The acceleration due to gravity for objects near the surface of Earth is 9.81 m/s^2.
