Well, hypertension is technically called "having high blood pressure," but if you're trying to make it longer, you can say something about it being way over the normal bp of 120/80--somewhere around 140/90 is considered hypertension. Or something about systemic arterial pressure being elevated to the point of it being dangerous, leading to a heart attack or a stroke.
