25) = 224.49*(9.8+.25) = 2256.Using trig,T = Fv/cos25° = 2489.......
a broken elevator is being pulled up an elevator shaft by a crane situated beside it, the elevator weighs 224.49 kg and is accelerating upwards at 0.25m/s^2 the rope from the crane makes an angle of 25 degrees to the shaft find the tension of the rope (Fa)

i have no idea what to do, can somebody please help me?

-
Vertical force Fv = m*(total acceleration) = m*(g+.25) = 224.49*(9.8+.25) = 2256.125 N
Using trig,

T = Fv/cos25° = 2489.36 N
