That's not exactly true. Some act out (even menacingly) because they r trying to get the persons attention because they need help crossing over. Others just want to let people know they r choosing to remain in their home (sometimes they coexist peacefully with the people) and in rare cases, some ghosts just don't kno they r dead and they r just trying to go about their daily "lives".

Actually, most of them just want help. There is some issue that is keeping them here on earth and they need help to resolve the issue so they can move on. Granted, there are some who just want to hang out in their old house and try to frighten off anyone who tries to take it over. But they are the minority.

Nobody loses their home because of a ghost. It does not happen in real life. It's very silly to believe something like that.
