Is this a picture of a ghost

I was in Austin, TX a few weeks ago in the Zilker Park Botanical Garden. There was this little Swedish cottage there and me and my friend decided to take some pictures.

There wasn't anyone around that I can remember who could have been a reflection. My friend's hand is above the "ghost's" head trying to shun the glare. I had to take the picture from behind glass.

Anyway, this picture freaked me out a lot because it looks like a ghost to me. What do you think?

I don't think it's a ghost. Your friend having his/her hand up to block glare and the inevitable glare/reflection always in pictures with glass made the light swirl like that in the picture. I've taken pictures like that when the sun was at a weird angle or there was glass nearby. While I believe in ghosts, I don't think this is a picture of one.

With you and your friend there while you were taking the picture through glass, my guess is that it is reflection from the glass. It does look interesting to be sure, but a reflection or distortion from the glass seems most likely. Now if I knew the clothing you and your friend had on I might be able to rule out a reflection or distortion caused by one of the two of you, but even that would not be totally certain.

Just a reflection. I don't see a person in it, but maybe I am not seeing it. If so, its probably you or your friend. Otherwise, just something in the background in the reflection that your misinterpreting.
Doesn't look like a ghost to me. I've shot pictures through glass, and gotten lots of stuff like this.

No, it looks more like you had a humid day and got some flash reflection off of moisture in the air. That's the slight "mist" you're seeing in the photo and which you're interpreting as a ghost. The glare isn't helping things either.

It could be, but i automatically thought it could be smoke, or even fog, or even somebody's breath in the cold. Thankyou for asking this interesting question.
