I think you have a false idea of the internet.
The internet cannot see or hear anything, so there is no reason to assume it will be able to smell or taste.
I't only peripherals such as cameras and mikes that can "see" or "hear", but actually all they can do is convert visuals or sounds to digital numbers that can be sent over the internet. There is nothing on the internet that can interpret that data, except sending them to a screen or speaker that can be seen or heard by a human.

T.V is beginning to be developed. I would imagine they'd try it for the web too
