Is this overdose life threatening

I wanted some relief for my hornet sting and we didn't have enough benadryl in pill form but had plenty of the liquid so I did the math to see how many teaspoons I needed but made a mistake and took about 120mg instead of 50mg. Will anything happen to me?

if what you took diphenhydramine, brand name Benadryl then you will not suffer any overdose consequences. You will probably get sleepy and have a very dry mouth.

It is not an overdose. It will make you sleepy, dry mouth and constipation. as heck. With the affect confusion may occur. Are you on any other medications, liver disease problem. If it is a single dose should not be concern, Call you State poison control center if you have further question
Note lethal dose of Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) is quite high.
We have prescribed in hte pharmacy 25-50mg every 6 - 8 hours a needed so the dose is 100-200mg per 24 hours. Yours was a single dose so i wont be concern

i think you should contact the poison control number or whatever number they have on the bottle. i'm not sure how bad it is but one time when i had a fever my doctor told me to take 4 advil tablets and my mom freaked out asking if that was overdose because it suggest you take 1-2 but he said that's just for safety. well advil is different from benadryl so i would suggest reading the warning labels and stuff on the bottle
