Last night, while it was storming, we used Weatherbug to look at the radar. We saw a strange ripple shape on the map. You'd think it was a fluke, but as the radar changed, the ripples expanded outward and moved with the weather. What could this shape be? (Photobucket link below with image)

Very nice picture, Brianna! It is simply the pattern from the radar suffering some scattering. As you may guess, the radar is at the center of those ripples.
I don't operate weather radars but I have used a lot my radar on my sailboat. It has two buttons called, "Rain Clutter" and "Sea Clutter." As you understand, it is to reduce the cluttering from unwanted echo returns from the waves and rain showers.
How exactly those ripples in this radar picture are generated and why do they move, I can't tell. But as I work for maritime eduction and that I fly a lot a light aircraft, I am used to see those kinds of interferences and I can assure you that there is nothing special about it. When I look at the weather radars from my region (I live in Norway) I always can see the actual locations of the different radars.
Incidentally, in the past I worked for Norcontrol (currently Konsberg Maritime) who were the first in the world to make a VTSS (Vessel Traffic Surveillance System) that gathers radar signal from different places and gathers it on a single screen. ... which is about what a weather radar does.

weatger radar cintains a radar that helps to localised precipitation, calculate its motion , and estimate its type ( snow , rain , hail)
