So basically Im taking this new prescribed drug (Zoloft) I use to take citalopram, these two drugs cause a moderate interaction. Now I havent taken citalopram in about 3 days, am I safe to take Zoloft without having a interaction between the two drugs?

Those 2 drugs are in the same class of medications. They are both SSRIs and they definitely should not be taken at the same time. However, you could have begun the zoloft the very next day after quitting the citalopram. The only interaction between the two is that they have additive effects that could lead to a dangerous problem called serotonin syndrome, but taking one at the scheduled time in place of the other is not a problem. You are safe to begin the zoloft and I would make sure to not ever quit them cold turkey again because they can cause very bad side effects when you do not taper off of them first.
