I ask because I was taking 2200 mg twice a day in Iraq for several months. 3 years later zero side effects, I had a stress fracture in my leg that wouldn't heal and my profile kept expiring before it fully healed. Anyone who knows the army knows your not injured unless your limb is blown off. I did quit a few months after being switched to permanent profile.

There are significant potential side effects associated with both long-term & short-term use.
The most commonis related to the stomach &bowels. Alot of people are unable to take these medications because they experience abdominal pain, diarrhea, & upset stomach. Long-term use can also increase your risk of developing an ulcer in either the stomach or bowel . These ulcers may not cause symptoms until they have seriously progressed & severe bleeding from the bowels may be the first sign of this. Other potential complications from longterm use are kidney & liver damage.
