(√3)/2 = 0.8660
Looking in a trig table tells us that 0.8660 = cos[30 degrees]
I take "cos -1 (√3/2)" to mean "arccos[√3/2]" which I choose to write as "cos^-1[√3/2]
so
cos^-1[√3/2] = 30 degrees = pi/6 radians
(√3)/2 = 0.8660
