Let x = the angle.
Then 180-x is the supplement
The supp is 78 less than the angle:
180-x = x-78.... Solve
258= 2x
129= x
180-129= 51

2)The sum of the measures of two complementary angles exceeds the difference of their measures by 86.Find the measure of each angle.Explain how you found the measurements.

Let x = one angle
90-x = the complement

Their sum is 86 more than their difference:
X+(90-x)= x-(90-x)+ 86

(solve)
90= 2x -4
94= 2x
47=x
43= 90-x
The angles are {47,43}

3) You are given that
X= m 90-x = m
180-(90-x)= the supplement of m (simplify)
90+x= m
