when water level coincides with 1 edge of the bottom when pouring (it means that the side that the water is coming out of coincides with 1 edge of the top), there is exactly 1/2 of the water to tank volumn. say tank volumn is x,x = 36-if 6 qts = 2/3 - 1/2 = 4/6 - 3/6 = 1/6,then 6 x 6 qts = 36 qt, or 9 gallons.......
