Dividing fraction help?

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-07-13] [Hit: ]
(a/b) / (c/d) = (ad)/(bc)-it would be 3/4 TIMES 11/8. you flip the last fraction.......
I forget how to divide fractions, i know its multiply but could someone please help me with this and show me how to do it not just the answer thanks 3/4 (divided by) 8/11 (couldnt find a divide symbol)

-
you flip the second number, multiply straight across, if its improper, make it proper.

3/4 (divided by) 8/11
turns into
3/4 (times) 11/8

3 (times) 11 = 33
4 (times) 8 = 32

33/32 turns into 1 1/32

-
Use simpler fractions for an example.
2 DIVIDE 3/4 = 2 MULTIPLY 4/3.
Now, 3/4 DIVIDE 8/11 = 3/4 MULTIPLY 11/8 = 33/32

To divide fractions just take the inverse of the fraction you are dividing with, and multiply it instead.

-
When dividing fractions just multiply by the reciprocal...
so 3/4(divided by)8/11 is the same as (3/4)(11/8)

so (3/4)(11/8) = 33/32

Hope this helps

-
3/4 ÷ 8/11 --------- (alt + 0247 = ÷)
= 3/4 × 11/8 ----------- take multiplicative inverse (division is inverse of multiplication)
= 33/32 = 1 1/32
-----

-
3/4 divided by 8/11 =
3/4 x 11/8 =
33/32
or
1 1/32.

-
Invert and multiply

-
You can use the simple rule below:
(a/b) / (c/d) = (ad)/(bc)

-
it would be 3/4 TIMES 11/8. you flip the last fraction.
