Assuming both people are chosen at random, theres a 4/10 chance of picking a teacher the first time and a 3/9 chance of picking a teacher the second time.If the teacher is picked from faculty the first time, theres a 4/7 chance of picking a teacher, but theres still a 3/9 chance of picking a teacher from the remaining members. You get the idea.......
a university's leadership council is made up of 10 members: 3 are students, 4 are teachers, and 3 are deans. A newspaper reporter is planning to select two of the council members for interviews. "The first member will be chosen at random from the remaining members."
It looks like your question is incomplete.

Assuming both people are chosen at random, there's a 4/10 chance of picking a teacher the first time and a 3/9 chance of picking a teacher the second time.
(4/10)(3/9) = (2/5)(1/3) = 2/15

If the teacher is picked from faculty the first time, there's a 4/7 chance of picking a teacher, but there's still a 3/9 chance of picking a teacher from the remaining members.
(4/7)(3/9) = (4/7)(1/3) = 4/21

You get the idea.
