i think now u can solve the other ones.now see the problem2x-6/8=9this is not in a linear form . so what we need to do is multiply the equation by the denomenator which will cancel it out.so multiply the equation by 8or, 2x*8-6/8*8=9*8or, 16x-6=72so now u have it in linear form u should be able to to pull it off.......
Hey. I'm learning linear equation and want to ask some exercise questions, please help!
Here.
2x+5=15

2x-5= 15

3x+15= 45

2x+15/25= 45/15

2x-6/8= 9

2x+16= 24

in a linear equation these x's are called variable and the other's are called constants.
now the purpose is to find out what the variable is . so for that at first u have to take the variables in one side of the equation ( preferably left hand side or L.h.s.) and the remaining constants on the other side. let's start with one
2x+5=15
2x=15-5 [ as i said put the constants on one side so i did, as it is a linear equation in most cases u have to add or substract the terms to side transfer. if u transfer an element in a linear equation the sign changes . like for example if we say a=2+c . we can write it as a-c=2 ]
or, 2x=10
[now u have a coefficient to the variable . to remove the that term u have to divide the equation by that term so that they cancel out each other leaving the variable alone so we can find out it's value.
if there's an equation 2a=3 we will divide the equation by 2 which means dividing each and every term of that equation by 2 or, 2a/2=3/2 or, a=3/2]
so dividing the equation by 2
we get x=10/2=5 yipee we solved it.
i think now u can solve the other ones.
now see the problem
2x-6/8=9
this is not in a linear form . so what we need to do is multiply the equation by the denomenator which will cancel it out.
so multiply the equation by 8
or, 2x*8-6/8*8=9*8
or, 16x-6=72
so now u have it in linear form u should be able to to pull it off. good luck ! maths is fun. let me know how are you enjoying it

1.) 2x+5=15. You do the problem by doing pemdas backwards. So you undo sub. Or add. First. So undo the +5.... The prob,em becomes 2x=10 (does this make sense to you?).... the idea is to get just 1 x. (1x means the same as x) so you first divide the 2x by 2 and divide the 10 so it becomes x=5.
