I know for a fact that a global flood WON'T hAPPEN but what will thanks

North Pole Ice = Nothing - Melting Sea ice will not cause a change in sea level
South Pole Ice = rise in sea level - Because this ice is not sea ice. It sits on land.
How much of a rise is unknown. Some say one meter, some say 10 meters.

Commerce between northern hemisphere countries will increase as ships will be able to sail wherever there used to be ice. Sea levels will rise. The salt content of the oceans will decrease possible causing die offs. The ocean currents may change course or stop. Antarctica will become a treasure trove for fossil hunters. Antarctica will rebound without the weight of the ice. This could cause volcanoes to erupt and earthquakes. Prehistoric seeds, bacteria, and viruses trapped in or under the ice may become viable. Mineral rights in Antarctica will be disputed. Offshore oil drilling can be done at the North Pole. Santa will be faced with a sink or swim situation.

I'm sure a whole host of events will occur some good some bad, but that is based on personal opinions. The only event that is sure to happen will be a rise in sea levels. The world will not flood like the movie Waterworld. Think of a glass filled to the brim with ice and water. When the ice melts some of the water spills over the edge.

well besides the increase in sea levels,i think if all the ice melted from the south polat regions of antartica, the rebound of the earth having all that weight of ice squashing it at it's bottom will cause extra melting of underground rocks causing the techtonic plates to move more freely and an increase in massive earthquakes....also maybe the earths spin may begin to wobble which will increase due too a resonant effect from the moons gravity...in short a lot of folk will die and i mean a lot and the rest of us will say...glad i don't live on a plate boundary the soft twats serves them right as the earth slowly meanders towards the sun.

There could be a tipping in the global climate. This might cause sudden spikes(peaks and valleys) in temperature. If it does, and one of those valleys gets cold enough to re-freeze some of that Antarctic water, we could actually end up in a new Ice Age. The Earth is funny like that.
Seems unlikely, though.

Um some of the lower than sea level places get flooded and we have to live in the mountains. Maybe the oceans get bigger? I dont really know.
But i agree there wont be another World wipe out flood.

Some cities will in fact become flooded like for a fact New Orleans since it is already below sea level but New York city would be flooded too.
