Inequality help:) -2x+3<0

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-07-01] [Hit: ]
the dot would be solid.) Shade the portion to the right since its x greater than 3/2.......
what graph would best represent this equality: -2x+3<0 ?

Like would it be an open circle/ closed circle, where does it start and which way does it go...etc? Like could you describe it to me?
Thanks:)

Subtract 3 from both sides to get:

-2x < -3

Divide both sides by -2 (remember to flip the inequality sign since that's a negative number):

x > 3/2

Draw an open circle at point 3/2 on the number line since 3/2 is not part of the solution. (If it were "or equal", the dot would be solid.) Shade the portion to the right since it's x greater than 3/2.
