My cousin asked for help on these. I cant for the life of me remember how!
1. v2 = 2gh. Make h the subject
2. a = b-cx. Make x the subject
3. x = u/a. Make u the subject
4. I = E/R. Make R the subject
5. A = 2x+y / 3. Make x the subject.
6. F = 9/5(nine fiffths)C+32. Make C the subject
7. C = E/R+r. Make E the subject
8. x = 2a+b2. Make b the subject

okay so to make each letter the subject you have to get it on its own :) so:
1.
V^2 = 2gh so you can divide both sides by 2g to give:
h = v^2 / 2g
2.
a = b-cx you can move -cx over to give
a+cx = b then move a over to give
cx = b-a, then divide both by c to give
x = b-a / c
3. x = u/a is quite a nice one, just multiply both sides by a to give
u = ax (remember when you multiply one side you do it to the other)
4. I = E/R is the same really, just multiply both by R to give
E = IR and then divide both by I to give
R = E/I
5. A = 2x+y/ 3 , first you have to remove the fraction by multiplying by 3 to give
3A = 2x+y and then you have to move y over to make 3A-y = 2x
Then just divide both sides by two to give x = 3A-y / 2
6. I think this is used for temperatures of farenheit to celsius..
F = 9/5 C+32 so you first move the +32 over to give 9/5C = F-32
next (forgive this if its wrong I'm a GCSE student) you can look at 9/5 C as 9C / 5
this means that you can move the 5 over to and then the nine like so to give the final answer of
C = 5(F-32) / 9 ?
7. C = E/R+r , first move over the added r to give C+r = E/R then just multiply by R to give an answer
of C+r / R = E
8. first we can move the 2a over to give x-2a = 2b
then just divide both sides by two to give x-2a / 2 = b
I hope this helps, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just a GCSE student so I probably did make a few mistakes,
