I have a 3.229 GPA & I am taking 2 classes this summer. If I get A's in both of the classes, will that bump me up to a 3.5? The classes I'm taking this summer are 3 credit hours each.

Don't know, you didn't tell us how many credit hours you've earned so far.
You're hoping that by taking the summer classes your GPA will jump to 3.5, so let's solve and see how many credit hours you could've already earned to make it possible.
Let x be the number of credits you already have. Then we want (4*6 + 3.229*x) / (6+x) >= 3.5. Solve:
24 + 3.229*x >= 3.5*(6+x) = 21 + 3.5x;
3 >= 0.271*x;
3 / .271 = 11.07 >= x.
Thus, if you have already taken 11 or fewer credit hours then yes, you can bump you GPA to 3.5. If you've taken more than that then no.

It depends how high of As you get. If you get 4.0s in both classes, your GPA might be 3.743 depending on how your school calculates GPA. I'm basing your possible GPA off of the two classes plus the accumulative. If you were to recalculate it adding each class you've taken plus the two you will be taking, you GPA may vary. (So if you took 8 classes before and got 2.0,3.1,3.4,2.5,etc. You would add those up, plus your summer course GPA and divide by 10 for the 10 total classes.) This might not be 100% accurate either though, if your school has weighted GPA, but most colleges don't look at the weighted GPA anyways.
Basically to improve your GPA with only two classes, you would have to earn a little over a 3.5 GPA in both classes, which is an A (about 93% or above).
Good luck! I'm sure you can do it, if you work hard.

Is your GPA out of 4 or is it on a different weighted scale?
To answer this accurately, we'd also need to know how many classes you've taken (to know the actual percentage impact that the new classes will have).

Depends how many credits you have.
