I found this sheet from last year and realized that i don't remember any of them at all.
Can someone tell me what the answers are and how you got them - in a brief description?

7) x^3 +5x^2 + 4x + 20
So what I do is I put a line in the middle first..
x^3 + 5x^2 l 4x + 20
Then you take out what you can from the first side...so you get..
x^2 ( x + 5) then next side is ... 4(x + 5)
Make sure what in the parenthesis is the same :)
So your answer is .... ( x^2 + 4) ( x+5) sooo number 2 is correct :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…
8) 2 | -x +4 | > 10 So... first you divide by 2 for both sides so you get...
-x +4 > 5 and then you solve from there...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…
9 ) Haven't done that..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…
10 ) So before you start anything, see if you can factor out something from all those polynomials ...
Which you can, So you can take out an x from all of them right away. Rememeber the x!!!
Next you multiply -1 x 6 = -6
SO think of two numbers that can be multiplied together to get -6 and they can be added together to get -1... so that would be 2 and -3... so what you do next is you set up the equation..
I think the answer is number 2 , Not sure lol too lazy to do the rest but yeah you can sort of get the picture I hope :) Good luck :D
If you can't spot the answer, the easy way to do these problems is to just try the available answers until you find the right one.
