opening direction. If it is a circle find the center, and radius. If it is an ellipse find the center, foci, and major vertices.......
Also must identify If it is a parabola find the vertex, directrix, focus, opening direction.
If it is a circle find the center, and radius.
If it is an ellipse find the center, foci, and major vertices.
If it is a hyperbola find the asymptotes, center, vertices, opening directions, and foci.

(y+2)^2 / 8 + (x+5)^2 / 8 = 1 Thanks guys!

You can re-write as follows:

(x + 5)^2 + (y + 2)^2 = 8

This is a circumference with center at (-5,-2) & radius sqrt 8

-
Since the denominators are the same, And the terms are separated by a plus sign, it is a circle.

Multiply both sides by 8 and Rewrite as (x+5)^2 + (y+2)^2= 8

Center (-5,-2) and r= sqr(8) or 2sqr(2)

Hoping this helps!
