I am having some problems with my long division in certain situations where the result of the division of a certain term isn't a like term with the term that needs to subtract it.
For example, in the equation: x - 3/ 18 - 21x + 8x^2 - x^3,
x/18 is 18/x and then -3 times 18/x equals -54/x. -21 - (-54/x) are not like terms so I am unsure how to go about the equation. Thanks in advance for any help.
