Find the exact volume of a right cylinder with diameter of 12 and height of 8.

Volume = 3.Answer: 904.32-V = pi * (r^2) * h = 3.1415926 * (6^2) * 8 = 904.......
I have a test tomorrow and i desperately need help studying. please help me answer this question and show how you got the answer because I'm so confused and I need to understand it.

volume = pi r^2 h = pi (12/2)^2 (8) = 288 pi

the formula for volume of cylinder is:

V = #*(r^2)*h

where r is the radius of the cylinder and h is the height
r = half of diameter = 12/2 = 6

V = #*(6^2)*8
V = #*36*8
V = 904.8

I don't know what unit the question is given in bt. whatever it is, it is a cubic unit (^3)

the formula is V= 3.14r^2h
so,
Volume = 3.14 x 6^2(36) x 8
Answer: 904.32
