My Uncle is making memorize this all and i dont even have the slightest idea of what a slope is. PLEASE HELP! 10 points to best answer!
What does a slope of a line means to you? How can you calculate it?Give examples of lines with positive, negative, zero and undefined slope.

Slope of a line is essentially how many units it goes up for each unit that it goes to the right. This is commonly stated as rise/run. So a line with a slope of 2 means that if you move 1 unit to the right, the line will be 2 units higher. A line with a positive slope will be a diagonal line going upwards from left to right:

Like that sorta. A negative slope would be a diagonal line going downwards from left to right

A line with a slope of 0 will be a horizontal line because it doesn't increase at all. And a line with an undefined slope will be vertical because it increases without moving to the left or right, so you would basically be dividing by 0, because the run in rise/run would be 0.
Im not sure if you've done graphs before so I didn't include that, but hopefully this helped a little at least.
If you have done graphs, the equation of a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept (the point where the line intersects the y-axis. Like I said though, if you haven't done graphs yet, just ignore this.

The slope of a line is how much it goes up and over between points or between two spots. Say you have two points (1,3) and (4,5) you do 5-3 over 4-1 and you get 2 over 3 and that's your slope. A positive slope would be a line that's going up and to the right and a negative slope would be going down and to the right. A line with a slope of 0 would be a horizontal line anywhere on the y axis and a line with a undefined slope is a verticle line anywhere on the x axis! Hope this helped!!
