I need a brief, but long enough paragraph (5 sentences at least) summary of music & math relationships.
I also need a few explanations of why they relate (as of now, I need: Quarter note, half note, whole note, and eighth note)

There is believed to be a direct relationship between math and music. This comes from the fact that people who play music tend to be better at math.
However, many people tend to forget to acknowledge the presence of lurking variables and confounding.
When I listen to music and do math homework, I usually do it a little faster. However, when I stop listening, I realized that it was not the music but rather the constant flowing sound that affected me, as it kept me from getting distracted by that itch I have or by that wandering thought. I could probably listen to some constant sound and have the same effect.
However, the real argument lies in confounding.
The people that play music are probably just better at math.
Find some people that play music, and you will probably find that they are better at math. However, take their music away from them and not much will change. They might even get better with more time for homework.
You could probably find some other data like manga readers and pokemon players, but they'll read manga regardless of pokemon, or something like that.
I don't read manga or play pokemon or play an instrument.
