I always learned when you are turning a decimal into a percentage just to move the decimal point to spaces to the right.
So the percent for 0.728 would 72.8%
Another way you could turn a decimal into a percentage is by multiplying by 100 which is basically the same thing as moving the decimal point, but I just find the moving way to be simpler so I do that instead.
however if you wanted to put a percent into a decimal then you would do the opposite, by moving the decimal point 2 spaces to the left.
