A question about electricity costs

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-10-30] [Hit: ]
135 unitsx 10p - £13.£42.75 + £13.50 = £56.+ 20% VAT(£11.= £67.......
can someone check these calculations for me please?

if i use 4 kwh of electricity per day and my energy company charges 19p for the first 225 units over three months and 10p per unit after that, rounded up to the nearest pence, then

4 kwh x 90 days = 360 units used per quarter.
225 units x 19p = £42.75 per quarter
360 units - 225 units = 135 units
135 units x 10p - £13.50 per quarter

£42.75 + £13.50 = £56.25
+ 20% VAT(£11.25)
= £67.50 per quarter for electricity.

is that right or have i missed something?

i would really appreciate if someone could check this for me.
thanks in advance.

Yeah, you're right. Don't need linear programming. lol
