Right now I have the 2.43 version, which is also available on the TI website (which claims the 2.43 version is the "new" operation system), but I read that 2.55 is the newest operating system. Where can I download version 2.55 (legally)? Our math teacher says we should upgrade to the newest version.
Thanks in advance!

The TI-OS v2.55MP update file can be downloaded for free directly from Texas Instruments' website. You must have read an old part of the site because v2.55MP has been released for quite some time now, and TI makes sure to remove older operating systems (such as TI-OS v2.43) from their site.
Also, make sure to make a backup of your TI-OS v2.43, because I've found that some people who have upgraded to v2.55MP don't like the changes implemented (MathPrint is a bit buggy and makes calculations a bit slower), and have wanted to downgrade back to v2.43. Unfortunately, since TI doesn't allow older OSes to be downloaded, and downloading older OSes from third-party sites is illegal, they couldn't really do much about it.
Edit: Oh, and of course, the download link: http://education.ti.com/calculators/down…
