I was sick recently and had to miss school. My Calculus teacher gave me a worksheet to practice for our next quiz, but I wasn't there when we learned the material so I don't know how to do some of these. Can anybody answer this problem?:
The range of g(x) = [[x/2]] is:
-All odd integers
-All real numbers
-All even integers
-All integers
-All negative numbers
Thanks! Please show your process so I can see how to do this type of problem on the quiz Friday.

The range is all integers.
g(x) is a composite of x/2 and [[x]].
X/2 can be any real number as when you graph y= x/2 ( a line) ; so there is no restriction there.
Then [[x]] rounds to the left, so will always be an integer.
ex: [[-3.2]]=-4
So [[-6.4/2]]= [[-3.2]]= -4
If you graph g(x), the steps will be two units wide, but will hit every integer.
Between 0 and 2, it will round to 1. Then it will jump up to 2 for x between 2 and 4, etc.
Hoping this helps!
