..multiply 1/2 by 3 to get 6 at the bottom...so.......
1/2 • 2/3
just tell me how to get the answer please (:
I went a little stupid over summer so yeah. Oh & 5/6 - 1/2 please. Thanks, 10 points best answer :D

-
top multiplied by bottom!!

1 x 2 = 2
&
2 x 3 =6

so.......its 2/6

which can be simplified to 1/3 ( by dividing numerator and denominator by 2)

b) for the second Questions you need to get a common denominator to do this....

the common denominator is 6

multiply 1/2 by 3 to get 6 at the bottom... = 3/6

so......

5/6 - 3/6 = 2/6 = 1/3

-
All you have to do is multiply the two denominators (bottom numbers) together and the multiply the two numerators (top numbers) together. This will get you the answers for both. Oh, and if the answer can be simplified (such as 2/4 simplifies to 1/2) the you should simplify it. Hope this helps! God Bless!

When multiplying fractions, multiply the two numerators together and multiply the two denominators together so that 1/2 x 2/3 is the same as (1x2)/(2x3) which is equal to 2/6 or 1/3.

-
The answer is 1/3
2/6 = 1/3
numerator times numerator, and denominator times denominator.
The second answer is also 1/3.
1/2 becomes 3/6, and is subtracted from 5/6.

-
1/2 • 2/3 = (1*2) / (2*3) = 2/6 = 1/3.

5/6 - 1/2 = 5/6 - 3/6 = (5 - 3) / 6 = 2/6 = 1/3.

-
1 is 2/6= 1/3
#2 is 2/6= 1/3

-
1st= 1/3
2nd= 1/3
