Need help with Algebra math packet

I've been looking in my note but i can't figure out how to solve these problems:
1. x^2-14x+45=0
2. x^2-144=0
3. s=vt-1/2 gt^2 solve for v
^ stands for exponet
If you can help me out with any of these it will be much appreciated! Thank you!

The first two use the quadratic equation:
if
0 = a*x^2 + b*x + c
then
x = [ -b +/- sqrt( b^2 - 4(a)(c) ) ] / [2a]

using this:
1) x = [ 14 +/- sqrt( 14^2 - 4*1*45 ) ] / (2)
x = [ 14 +/- 4 ] / 2
x = 5, x = 9

2)
x^2 = 144
x = 12, x = -12

3)
s = vt - 0.5*g*t^2
s + 0.5*g*t^2 = vt
v = (s+0.5*g*t^2)/t

1) = (x+ -7)(x+-5)=0
= x = 7 or x =5

2) x^2=144
x = 144 ;note: take square root

3) s+1/2gt^2 = vt
(s+1/2gt^2)/t = v

1. (x-9)(x-5)=0 x=9 x=5

2. x^2=144 x=12 x=-12

3s=vt-1/2gt^2 v=(s+1/2gt^2)/t
