Evaluate: - x^2 - 3x + 10 when x= - 1 ?
substitute (- 1) for x...
- (- 1)^2 - 3(- 1) + 10 = - 1 + 3 + 10 = 12

-(-1)^2-3(-1) + 10 (Exponents first)
-1 +3 + 10
2 + 10 = 12
-1 +3 + 10
2 + 10 = 12

-x^2- 3x +10 when x=-1?
-(x^-1) = -1
-1 - (3x-1) = -1 + 3 = 2
2 + 10 = 12
Answer is 12.
-(x^-1) = -1
-1 - (3x-1) = -1 + 3 = 2
2 + 10 = 12
Answer is 12.

First, plug in -1 for all x. Then solve.
= -(-1)^2 - 3(-1) + 10
= -(1) + 3 + 10
= -1 + 13
= 12
= -(-1)^2 - 3(-1) + 10
= -(1) + 3 + 10
= -1 + 13
= 12

If x=-1 then
-x^2-3x+10
=-(-1)^2-3(-1)+10
=-(1)+3+10
=-1+3+10
=12
-x^2-3x+10
=-(-1)^2-3(-1)+10
=-(1)+3+10
=-1+3+10
=12

Put in the values... (-1)^2 = 1 and -3*(-1) = 3
so, -1 +3 +10 = 12
so, -1 +3 +10 = 12
-
-x^2-3x+10
-(-1)^2-3(-1)+10
1--3+10
1+3+10

there was already a negative sign in front of the x. being that x is -1 then -(-x) would be +x being that 2 negatives -- make a positive+ . 1 to the second power is 1. -3 times -1 is 3 because when multiplying two negatives you get a positive. You are then left with one plus three plus ten. You get fourteen.

Maybe it's 14? -1X-1=1! it is true! negative times a negative = a positive, so 1+3+10=14! wow, I see some people thumbs downed me, why? I got it right!

Dude, its 14 !!!!!!
Get over it!!!!!
