Simplify as much as possible:
((x^(-2))+(y^(-2)))^(-2)
Please help :)
((x^(-2))+(y^(-2)))^(-2)
Please help :)
-
((x^(-2)) + (y^(-2)))^(-2)
Note this:
x^(-2) is the same thing as 1/x^(2)
y^(-2) is the same thing as 1/y^(2)
Because the same principle will be used later.
= ( (1/x^(2)) + (1/y^(2)) )^(-2)
Make the denominators the same:
= (( (1/x^2)*y^2/y^2) + (1/y^2)*x^2/x^2 )^(-2)
= (y^2/(x^2 y^2)) + (x^2/x^2 y^2))^(-2)
= ((y^2 + x^2) / (x^2 y^2))^(-2)
= (1) / (y^2 + x^2)^2 / (x^2 y^2)^2
= (1) / (y^2 + x^2)^2 / (x^4 y^4)
= (x^4 y^4) / (y^2 + x^2)^2
Note this:
x^(-2) is the same thing as 1/x^(2)
y^(-2) is the same thing as 1/y^(2)
Because the same principle will be used later.
= ( (1/x^(2)) + (1/y^(2)) )^(-2)
Make the denominators the same:
= (( (1/x^2)*y^2/y^2) + (1/y^2)*x^2/x^2 )^(-2)
= (y^2/(x^2 y^2)) + (x^2/x^2 y^2))^(-2)
= ((y^2 + x^2) / (x^2 y^2))^(-2)
= (1) / (y^2 + x^2)^2 / (x^2 y^2)^2
= (1) / (y^2 + x^2)^2 / (x^4 y^4)
= (x^4 y^4) / (y^2 + x^2)^2

would you be able to help me with this following question as well?
((4^2a)+(4^3a)+(4^3a)+(4^4a)… - ((4^2a)-(4^3a)-(4^3a)+(4^4a)
i know the answer is 4^(3a-1) but i am unsure what to do after this step (above)

Thanks for best answer. :)
I'll be glad to help, but you need to put spaces like I did between the - and + signs for the entire problem to show up without the trailing dots .....
Y!A only allows a certain length, so it's cut off part of the question.
