I'm not exactly the smartest kid around buuuut
I got this piece of homework where you have to write down the number form of what it says.
so e.g.
15 thousand. you'd write it as: 15,000
1 million you'd write it as: 1,000,000
etc etc. It all seemed easy til it got a bit harder.
For example i'm stuck on this one
6.4 million.
and you have to write it in number form..
i'm not exactly sure on how to do that.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Here are the ones I have to write in number form:
6.4 million.
30.4 million.
0.4 million.
How do I write that down in numbers?..

-
10 million = 10 000 000
1 million = 1 000 000
.1 million = 100 000
.01 million = 1 000
1 million = 1 000 000
.1 million = 100 000
.01 million = 1 000

Basicaly 1 milion = 1 000 000 => 6 zeroes
SO if you have 6.4 million, all you do is 'move' the decimal place 6 zeroes to the right
6 400 000.0 which is 6 million 4 houndred thousand.
You do the rest in the similar way.
