Identify and Extend Patterns

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-03] [Hit: ]
so your sequence is arithmetic,2. The pattern here is that with each consecutive term, you are subtracting 3.......
1. What type of sequence is this: 3, 5, 7, 9…?
(a) Geometric
(b) Odd
(c) Arithmetic
(d) None of the Above

2. What is the next term in the following sequence: 17, 14, 11…?
(a) 9
(b) 8
(c) 7
(d) 6

-
C. Arithmetic. Geometric is multiplying.
B. 8. It keeps subtracting by 3.

-
1. (c) arithmetic
2. (b) 8

... I can't believe you needed help with this. Sorry, but this is really easy.
1. Each time it is going up by 2, so your sequence is arithmetic, since the same number is added each time
2. The pattern here is that with each consecutive term, you are subtracting 3. 11-3 = 8
