q is directly proportional to the square of r
q = 3 when r = 4
(a) find a formula for q in terms of r
(b) work out the value of q when r = 8
Thanks alot :)

Don't be :(
"q is directly proportional to the square of r" means that q = kr² where k is a constant number which we need to find.
Putting in the given values we get: 3 = k(16) so k = 3/16
a) So the formula is q = 3r²/16
b) When r = 8 we get q = (3 x 8²)/16 = (3 x 64)/16 = 3 x 4 = 12
So :) now.
