I think you had a typo with the x-value of 0.. The y-value was supposed to be 2 I'm guessing??
In the case of y=2 when x=0, the equations would be:
y = -3x + 2
X Y
-2 8
-1 5
0 2
1 -1
2 -4
3 -7
In the case of y=2 when x=0, the equations would be:
y = -3x + 2
X Y
-2 8
-1 5
0 2
1 -1
2 -4
3 -7

Well, first we can state that this is a linear function. Why? Because if you just look at the "Y" values, they decrease by 3 each time. Ex: 14 to11 is -3. Now that we know it is a linear function, we know that it will be in ax+b form. Or slope(x)+y intercept. Now, going back to the "Y" values, if they decrease by 3 each time, your slope is -3. If you subtract 3 from 5 (because 5 is the last "Y" value on the table), you get 2. And since 2 is next to the "X" value 0, we know that 2 is the "Y" intercept. So, your function is -3X+2. So the missing values for the table are 2 and -1. Message me if you have any questions :)
