Adam and Eve supposedly lived 10,000 years ago. Today, we have over 7 Billion people on the face of the earth. Is it actually possible to do this in 10,000 years?
Remember, about 2000 years into this, God decided to destroy the world in a flood, restarting the process at only 8 people.

2,000 years ago? I recall from history records that people were not almost entirely wiped out 2000 years ago. If that's what the bible says, it's definitely wrong on that point. But a population could increase that much in 10,000 years and maybe even possible 2,000. After all, if you look at a graph or chart on the world population growth over those years, you'll see that population grows exponentially. It begins rapid growth at the industrial revolution. No matter how low the population was before the industrial revolution, as soon as a civilization obtains greater amounts of technology, such as in the industrial revolution, it will see a spike in population growth and the population will continue to rise. But records do show that more than 2 people existed 10,000 years ago.

Well, yesterday I saw a science program on the TV saying that there are some 85,000 different types of flies on earth. I then imagine Noah collecting 85,000 pairs of flies on the ark.
The Bible has to be taken with a grain of salt. Imagine, for example, that God had said to Moses, "yeah, and I created the universe 13.7 billion years ago and most of the stars you see in the sky are, actually, galaxies of billions of stars and ... "
"Hang on!" answered Moses, "I can't tell that to my people! They will think I hallucinate! Can't we just say that you created the universe in ... uh, say, 6 days?"
... Okay, that's cool, answered God.
My point is; if the Bible was written differently, I wouldn't have made it up to today. It was written for nomads of the middle-east desert.
