tree frogs are small frogs that have an ability to climb (they have little suckers on their fingers) and they are often found in foliage. the only thing they will do for you in the above list is practice safe sex!

Many frogs and even toads have evolved the ability to climb. For example, the yellow spotted climbing toad (Pedostibes hosei) is such an animal. Poison dart frogs, tropical frogs (leptodactylids), glass frogs (centrolenids), true frogs (ranids) among others, have all evolved the ability to climb. Nevertheless, herpetologists do not call all frogs that climb "treefrogs." Traditionally, the name treefrog is reserved for New World frogs of the family Hylidae, which are relatives of toads (bufonids). The New World treefrogs are found in Australia, South America, Central America, North America, Asia and Europe. The Asian and European species of treefrogs (which were once considered a single widespread species named Hyla arborea) are closely related to North American species of Hyla, such as Hyla regilla, Hyla cinerea, Hyla versicolor, and others. The name treefrog (or Old World treefrog) is also reserved for the treefrogs found in Asia and Africa that were classified in the family Rhacophoridae. The Rhacophoridae has since been split into two families, the Rhacophoridae and the Hyperoliidae. The New World treefrogs, besides having a toe disc that is typical of all climbing anurans, also have an intercalary catilage, located between the adhesive discs and the last bone in each finger, which allows them an extra bit of flexibility when they climb. The Old World treefrogs are more closely related to the true frogs than they are to the toads. Therefore the Old World treefrogs are not classified in the same family as the Hylidae.
