.Please help...Thanks-Ontario is downwind from the heavily industrialized area around the great lakes. The industries in this area produce a lot of pollution that can cause acid rain.......
I had this question on my science exam, but the teacher doesn't give us the test back. We only know what we got wrong, without getting the proper answer...Please help...Thanks

Ontario is "downwind" from the heavily industrialized area around the great lakes. The industries in this area produce a lot of pollution that can cause acid rain.

Alberta is downwind from the Rocky Mountains and then the Pacific coast. There is decidedly less industry in this area. Less industry emits less pollution, which creates much less acid rain.

Ontario has the world's biggest acid producer - Ohio as a neighbour.
Alberta's neighbour - Montana just raises cattle which only produce methane.
