That's 80,000 kilowatts. Long ago we figured 80,000 houses. More recently 67,000 or 57,000, as houses are bigger and we tend to be more wasteful. That's 1200 watts per home or 1400 watts per home. It would be still higher, but The USA has not increased manufacturing, but we have lots more street lighting and other outdoor lighting. Other countries may use different numbers. Neil
