From a real geologist, as in certified professional (PG). Is the climate changing? Answer - constantly. It has been changing for billions of years. Is the climate warming? Answer - at the present time - YES. We are in an inter-glacial time period. We are in a temperate, moist climate with retreating ice margins. Ten-thousand years ago a large portion of North America was covered in ice. Something had to make it melt. Is global warming caused by man's industrial activities? Answer - partially. CO2 emissions are not helping any and are beginning to effect the oceans. The time frame of accurate data available does not allow for a definitive answer from either global climate camp.

Don't confuse climate with weather. Two completely different sciences. The record rainfall is caused by certain short-term conditions that change year to year. Climate will affect weather, but weather will not affect climate.

Our daytime highs have been rising very slowly, but not as much as our nighttime lows. There is where we are seeing "global warming" in the lows being much warmer over time.
