Very few Geologists support the Flood account in anything but a local setting. Those that claim to be geologists who support the flood account, are almost never actually trained geologists with any sort of formal education in that specialty. What seems "logical" to a layman, is usually completely illogical once you add even a bit of geological understanding into that so called logic! Geology is not a simple science or a philosophy. It is a documentation of facts in accordance with all scientific principles. There are so many problems with the flood account that they cannot even begin t be reconciled to known facts.

It is very clearly written in Genesis "And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. The waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep." This "Christian" is a liar.

Creationists believe anything as long as it is (their interpretation) in the bible. So they make up outlandish claims, such as the land was on pillars, the earth turned into a nuclear reactor, and the water was ejected from the earth. Of course, they have never conducted one iota of research, you have to suspend the laws of physics, believe dinosaurs still roam the earth (no kidding) and all this happened three thousand years ago.
BTW Any physical evidence which shows the bible is wrong is either evil or made up by scientists.

The Flood was not global. They were regional floods, and many cultures have flood myths. Specifically, for the Biblical flood, that happened when enough glaciers had melted to raise the sea level of the Atlantic Ocean high enough that it went over the topographic high at the Straits of Gibraltar. The Mediterranean Sea filled VERY quickly, within days, fast enough that people left behind shoes and their homes. The archaeological remains are found underwater all along the Mediterranean and Black Sea coastlines.
