I've seen a few comments on Y!A and from a few people on facebook about the earthquake in japan and pretty much any natural disaster. Do they have no fcking hearts? Insensitive, selfish people, who don't care what happens to other people, as long as it's not happening to them, it's okay.
If anyone reading this is thinking oh, shut the fck up. People die, get over it youre just fcking heartless and I just hope you look around at the people you love, and think what would I do if they died, and people laughed and made jokes?.

A lot of people make jokes because they can. Only a small fraction of those people are truly assholes, the others just feel like nothing is off limits and everything can be funny. I haven't made a joke about the earthquake, it was terrible, but I understand people who do joke about extreme things because I have a tendency to do it and not mean a word I say. Often I just like to get a rise out of people.

I personally think that nothing is sacred and people should be able to make a joke about anything they want to. Otherwise, we might as well live in Afghanistan and be killed for making cartoons about the prophet Mohammad.
The cost for freedom of speech is that not all of that speech is going to be tasteful. But, we have to tolerate other peoples' rights to free speech, so that we may enjoy that right ourselves. You don't have to like what other people say and you can criticize it all you want. But, they do have the right to say it.

Your point would carry more weight if you didn't demonstrate the need to use obscenities quite so often.
The simple truth is that in some parts of the world people are free to express their views and opinions and have a right to do so. I may or may not agree with a lot of what people may say but I will uphold the right of anyone to be allowed freedom of expression.
My personal view is that the Japanese people tend to treat nature with utter contempt. They plunder the sea, killing dolphins to protect their tuna stocks and killing whales under the cover of calling it "science". Once in a while, Mother Nature strikes back.
