A. 2 significant figures- I have memorized the rules for significant figures, and it is important to know that zeroes after a decimal point are insignificant unless the number before the decimal point is above 0.

B. 2 significant figures- A number before and after a decimal place are significant. If the number before the decimal place is greater than 1, then it is significant (9 is greater than 1). ANY number after a number greater than one followed by a decimal place is significant. By the ways, exponents don't count as figures when determining the total significant figures.

C. 4 significant figures- First, 5 is counted as a significant figure because it is greater than 0. The first 0 proceeding the decimal point is significant because it follows a number greater than 0. The 5 is significant because it follows the significant zero. The last 0 is significant because it follows the significant 5. Zeroes are significant after numbers greater than 0 only.

D. 4 significant figures- 8 is significant because it is a number greater than 0. 7 is significant because it follows a number greater than 0. Both zeroes following the 7 are significant because they follow other numbers greater than 0.
