What is the smell of new (blank) DVDs and CDs

It has this unique smell, kind of like the 'new car' smell. What is it?

[The media is comprised of a thin sheet of aluminum sandwiched between two plastic discs. The aluminum provides a reflective surface for the laser beam to bounce off, and the data is stored on the "lower" disc -- unless it's a double sided disc, in which case both plastic discs are used to hold data.]
